About Us

Mission

Our charitable purpose is to preserve the Polish Catholic culture through counseling, personal development, and companionship and by providing Catholic faith-based cultural and English education, job placements, temporary shelter, and religious pilgrimages.

ICONNEL Catholic Foundation is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit private operating foundation.  Our mission is supported by the following initiatives:

  1. Train, orient and provide job placement of senior care companions through the redevelopment of moral standards that are desperately needed and lacking in any alternative solution, especially by institutions.

  2. Provide a convent facility for temporary shelter and housing to elderly caregivers and companions who are in between working assignments;

  3. Offer Catholic spiritual and educational development

Our Philosophy

We apply the principals of Personalism, a philosophy written by Pope John Paul II, to our way of doing business.  Personalism is described as follows:

The Person – or Human Being, is the highest value known to us. This value rules the whole environment of a person's existence including the institutions that we create, tools of communication, and all the actions taken. Meeting candidates to interview with people in need of services is a part of the process of discovering the "mutual goodness" where every person’s needs are respected, especially those whose personal freedom is limited currently by a disability, old age, or illness.

ICONNEL (above all that) also tries to extend your family environment, so when your children are not present, then at least someone of a similar background is present with you.

We focus on empathy and the big picture, not just on technical excellence.

ICONNEL puts to work it’s intercultural and socio-psychological expertise to make the relationship between everyone involved to work effectively and naturally.

  1. We recruit candidates with strong moral standards and work ethics having basic etiquette in manners to reduce stressful situations and anxiety.

  2. We serve as a communicator between you and your companion to strengthen the working relationship.

  3. We understand each caregiver at a cultural, religious level so that we can convey and conduct a better match and arrangement of care placement

  4. We standardize the quality of care, work schedules, and lead the way to provide a free market-based wage rate based on performance, while others succumb to industry influences such as Medicare and insurance reimbursement rates.

  5. We take the headache out of coordinating replacements, logistics, and even training orientation by entrusting the maturity, skillset, and emotional intelligence of the caregivers we have.

White Glove has been in business to maintain your freedom since 1992, and ICONNEL continues this legacy through its "icon" personnel, the best in the industry.

Our vision is to create a civilization of Personalism in order maintain the personal freedom of every suffering person until departure rather than their disposal by preventing the institutionalization of one’s private life.

Iconnel Catholic Foundation Way

Person, Institution, Understanding, Engagement, Contentment

  1. Person – The environment needed for the person’s existence should be governed by the Human Being, not the other way around. Human Being is the highest value known to us.

  2. Institution – Reinvent the institutions (i.e., government, social structure, organizations, culture, practices, tradition) to respect the person’s needs, especially those persons whose freedoms are limited by disability, illness, or old age.

  3. Understanding - Understand the person by teaching and learning from a shared experience between generations

  4. Engagement - Engage everyone with everything available for the Person.

  5. Contentment - Reach Contentment of discovering the "mutual goodness" where every person’s needs are respected.

Life doesn’t end just because that person has retired, or because the body doesn’t have the strength it once used to have.

Testimonials

Below is an example of many letters we receive every year.   "The person is the kind of good which does not admit of use and cannot be treated as an object of use and as such the means to an end, the person is a good towards which the only proper and adequate attitude is love."
