Once a Nurse, Always a Nurse

True story: There was an elderly couple who lived at home, where the husband took good care of his ailing wife with Alzheimer’s. His wife used to be a nurse for several years at a hospital. The husband hired home care through the help of his children, but eventually his wife’s condition was too difficult to care for at home. The husband passed away, and the children then admitted her to a nursing home - and low and behold - she wondered the halls and started reviewing charts of other patients while correcting the written doctor’s orders. The children were astounded to find out that despite her memory issues, the medical staff agreed with her corrections! Our God given minds are so complex, that it will probably take many many more years to understand how it’s wired.
